bpad and Claude
Last updated 25 October 2026
bpad has no AI inside it. If you want one, you can connect your own Claude to your notes and ask it things like “summarize my meeting notes from this week” or “turn this list into a note tagged Groceries”. Claude only touches your notes when you ask it to, and only the ones that are yours.
Connect it
bpad connects to Claude through bstack, one connector for every bstack tool. Open bstack in Claude's directory and click Connect, or in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, and find bstack there. A bstack page shows what Claude will be able to do. Click Allow, sign in with the account you use in bpad, and Claude is connected. In bpad, the Claude button next to Settings takes you to the listing.
Any other MCP client, Claude Code included, adds it by address: https://bstack.cc/mcp. The Claude button next to Settings in bpad copies it for you. The sign-in is the same.
What Claude can do
It can list and search your notes, read one, write a new one, or replace a note's title and text. It can delete a note, and it is told to ask you first. It can also set a note's tags, rename a tag on every note, or remove a tag and keep the notes. Claude works in Markdown by default, and in the HTML bpad stores when a note has things Markdown would lose, like colors or polls.
When Claude rewrites a note you have open, the note shows that Claude is editing and you can type again a moment later. The text from before the rewrite stays in Version history, so nothing it replaces is lost. Tag changes show up in an open note right away.
What Claude can see
Only the notes you own. Notes other people shared with you stay out of its reach, and so do other people's accounts. Claude sees a note when it reads or writes it for you, and Anthropic's own privacy policy covers what happens to that text inside Claude. bpad itself only records that your account connected Claude, so Manage account can show it. The rest is in the Privacy Policy and on the Trust page.
Disconnect it
In Claude, open Connectors, choose bpad and click Disconnect. From that moment Claude can no longer reach your notes. Claude doesn't tell bpad, so in bpad use “Disconnect in Claude” on the Claude button next to Settings. It opens bpad's page in Claude, where Disconnect sits in the menu next to Connected, and marks Claude as not connected in bpad. If Claude uses bpad again later, it shows as connected again.
You can also remove the Claude connection at bstack.cc/account. Claude loses access at once and has to connect again from the start. Deleting your bstack account ends the connection too.
